Rashawn Slater Placed on IR Chargers Linemen Injured

The Los Angeles Chargers have placed left tackle Rashawn Slater on injured reserve following his ankle surgery. Slater, who had his procedure after sustaining a high right ankle sprain, will miss at least four games starting this Sunday against the Denver Broncos. The injury occurred in the fourth quarter of a recent game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Along with Slater, the Chargers are facing additional challenges on the offensive line. Both Joe Alt and Kayode Awosika are sidelined due to injuries. Alt is dealing with a neck injury, while Awosika has been out since Week 2 due to a fibula issue. The team will likely be without three of their starting linemen in their upcoming game. This situation has forced the Chargers to play a makeshift line including potentially four rookies as occurred in their previous game.
